It's Friday and I'm Flaggin

We had the Friday clean up this morning and after lunch I had the sudden urge to sew!! I bought these fat quarters before Christmas to make this bunting for the summer.  Last year we had the Union Jack bunting flying round the awning for the caravan and it got a bit tatty, so I thought some handmade would be stronger and prettier, we can also use it for the Summer Garden Party at the study centre in June.

 I was struggling with cutting out these flags until I found the spare blade for my rotary cutter and that made things so much easier, I hadn't realised just how blunt it was until I used the new one!

 My poor sewing machine looks a bit dated now, its 25years old, but still going strong, its a combination one, if you turn it round its an overlocker on the other side. It doesn't get used quite so much these days but I wouldn't want to be without it.

 All stitched, turned and pressed ready to assemble. I love the little strawberry print.

I didn't quite know how to take a photograph of it so we pegged it round the conservatory sofa, It gives you a glimpse of what its like finished!

It's cold and rainy here tonight in Doncaster and getting quite breezy :-(
