Heatwave in Loche.

Should have realised a scorcher was ahead of us as we left home. As we passed the harbour, boats rested on mirror glass. Perfect reflections below them.
Condor left bang on time and glided through a millpond all the way to St Malo.

Remind me to get my aircon fixed when I get home. Our vintage car has been without aircon for some time. Not normally a problem in our very temperate climate. Our arrival in France was to prove that a foolish decision. The journey down to Loches was very smooth. Very little traffic but sauna would be the best way to describe the car. Just as well the hotel had a lovely cool shower when we arrived.

We are just above Loches looking down on the old Royal city. We wandered down a few ancient lanes to find somewhere for dinner.
Lovely old buildings with people sitting and eating outside  as we passed. The temperature still nudging 25c at nine o'clock.

The sun was still glinting on the bell tower as we settled for a pizzeria in a cobbled courtyard. They sold Pelforth Brune so my other half was happy. It's definitely a French drink. We can never buy it anywhere but France. Once sampled, never forgotten!

Tomorrow we are off to explore Loches properly.

Does anyone else have this problem with finding certain drinks and foods only in the country they are made?
