I had a great day today. Woke up, thought of Sarah Jessica Parker, and I don't know why other than I think she's a style icon. So I blogged a bit and than got together with one of my most dearest friend, Alastair Sutherland, (he's going hate that I said his name...whatevah!). He's living in this cool and hip condo in South Granville. So awesome. It was painful, but it was perfect!
Then we decided to walk down to Granville Island and hopefully find some creative catwalk and fabulous self made pieces, and I found one! A beautiful linked scarf that appears like rope, but I can't remember what material she said it was. It looked like some kind of knit. I loved it! I have a pic of it with her wearing it. I hope it impresses you as it did me. I met M.I.A., no really...she looked like her and she was as sweet as a little pickle and such an incredibly beautiful girl. Not an inch of make up. Mind you her spirit and energy was palpable. She made me feel happy.
Then I almost met Miss Yatchy Bitch Babe. I'm not even gonna go there.
I took the water bus home and, I don't know what it is...but every time I ride it on a beautiful sunny day I thank my God that I am alive and that I live in such a beautiful city.
Well, I just wanted to share a good day with you guys, oh! I bought a shirt at Joe in the Super Store on Granview. A black checkered shirt. I visualized "sexy country".
So I bought it.
$20! Why not? I'm just going to get it tailored. The perks of buying cheap!
* I apologize, 'Joe'> I didn't give you a very good review soon after your opening of the flagship store here in Vancouver. I love my shirt!
Come to think of it, the hat is also Joe or Joe Fresh...I really confused about that. Yeah, this hat is $10! See, whether you like this look or not...it cost me $30+! The feather thing is from H&M. I use it as a belt but it can be used as a necklace or something to tie off a bag, whatever. All about personal style, comfort and confidence.( Comfort can be eliminated sometimes, like really nice shoes that make you want to cut your feet off, but not caring because they're HOT!)
