There is one crucial benefit for living in Columbus, Ohio. That crucial benefit involves rather mild Winter seasons. While the Polar Vortex is busy pounding cities like New York City, New York; Chicago, Illinois and rather oddly Atlanta, Georgia, the falling snow in Columbus, Ohio is mild. Yeah, there was one or two serious snow storms, but snow from the opening moments of Winter has already melted away. The falling snow for the morning hours in Columbus, Ohio has been mild, brief and is already melting away. It's freezing cold, but there isn't much snow to go along with the freezing cold temperature. Spring is only twenty-three days away and Summer won't be that far behind. And while the local and national evening news starts complaining about horrible record breaking heat waves and record breaking forest fires (droughts making it impossible to fight forest fires with water), the Gentle Reader and I will be wishing the polar vortex was still with us. In other words, be careful what you wish for because the local and national evening news probably won't be happy with the Summer season either.
And as I'm lost in thought among the falling snow, here are some photos of Leighton Meester.
