I've blogged a lot in the past about American Apparel's frankly stupid advertising campaigns which feature a lot of soft core porn. Which is a bit stupid when your company is trying to sell leotards and socks to hipster scum. So given that the company is in SEVERE financial problems. Brought on by a number of things, what does Dov do?
Does he hand over the porn advertising and take another more positive route which could encourage all the shoppers who abandoned AA to come back?

No, he either can't afford to pay for moral less models or he thinks that drawing porn is the way to encourage back all the waves of shoppers he needs to turn a profit.
Although I have to say, I love these fake adverts below. I think they get the message across quite well. I dunno who made them. So if you know, let me know. But brilliant! They have appeared across NYC since the release of the drawn AA ads.
