Saudi Arabia announces 4-day public holiday to mark the Eid-al-Fitr

The Saudi Arabian government has announced a four-day public holiday for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. The public holiday will begin on Saturday, 23rd of May and will end on Tuesday, 26th of May.

According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Eid al-Fitr holiday will begin the day after the final day of Ramadan.
The 4 days holiday is extended to employees mainly in the private sector. The public sector employees, on the other hand, have a 17 days long public holiday beginning from Friday the 15th of May and ending on Saturday the 31st of May.

The United Arab Emirates has also declared a similar holiday. The Eid al-Fitr in the United Arab Emirates will begin on Friday 22nd of May for both private and public sector employees.
